HI all, I'm still looking for any info on Nancy Harrell born between 1790-1800 and died January 1860. She was the wife of Benjamin Evans II b about 1771, and mother to my great-great grandfather Joseph Benjamin Evans born about 1829. Nancy Harrell has been my brick wall for the longest time and to complicate things further, there was another Nancy Harrell in Hertford County around the same time who married a Smith I believe. If anyone has any information on Nancy or her family I would so appreciate hearing from you! Hi Susan, Nancy Harrell, daughter of Nathan Harrell, and Elizabeth Sharp, who married Dr. William L. Smith a transplant to Hertford from CT. was the mother of William Nathan Harrell Smith who was a Chief Justice of NC. Dr. William L. Smith died in 1813 and then Nancy married James M. Yancey and they had one son Antonio P. Yancey. This Nancy Harrell Smith Yancey's brother, Starkey S. Harrell 1786-1830 married Elizabeth Simmons 1788-1861, one of their daugthers named Nancy married Thomas Blount Sharp.
