    3. Sandy, I have one Nichols ancestor who I know ended up in AL. I'm not sure how early he left Hertford. His name was Everet Nichols (another son of Wright Nichols). Everett settled in Madison Co. (Huntsville area) along with some Jenkins families from Hertford Co. He was there by 1835, when he married. Samuel and John Jenkins, sons of John and Rachel (Dunning) Jenkins of Hertford also migrated to Madison Co., AL. Another son of John and Rachel, Winborn, may have migrated also, because several of his children moved to AL. King Jenkins (a son of Winborn Jenkins) bought property in AL in 1831. This may be about the time Everet Nichols moved. I'll keep your post handy in case I find any Ezells connecting to these lines.
