John, Do you know if William Moses Nichols may have left Lincoln Co., TN, and returned to Hertford Co.? There is a William M. Nichols/Nickolds appearing on the 1830 Hertford census: Pg. 401: William M. Nickolds 1 boy 0 - 5 1 man 20 - 30 2 girls 0 - 5 1 woman 30 - 40 1 female slave I've wondered for years who this man is, but have never been able to connect him to other Nichols. Linda Gamel "John A.
