My name is Will Holloman. I'm doing research on my family tree. Does anyone have any information on a Thomas Jefferson Vann and his wife, Elizabeth (Bettie) Mitchell. They were born sometime in the 1850's and moved to St. John in Hertford County in Northeastern North Carolina and had one son and five daughters. One of those daughters was Pauline Roberta Vann (born in 1882). She was my great-grandmother. She eventually married Robert Abner Holloman, Sr. His name is continued on today by my father, Robert Abner Holloman III. If you have any information on where they come from and who there ancestors were from. Are they related to the Vanns in that area or they related to other Vanns in other parts of the country? I ask this question because Robert Abner Holloman, Sr. and Pauline Roberta Vann are showned to be married in 1906 in Ashe County, North Carolina; clear on the other side of North Carolina in the western half of the state and about as far away from Hertford County as one can get without leaving the state. Can anyone solve this mystery for me? It would be a great help to me. Here's my e-mail address: godfatherwah@hotmail.com Thank you, Will Holloman P.S.- these are the offsping of Thomas Jefferson Vann and Bettie Mitchell! If you are descended from them give me a ring!
