    1. [NCHERTFO-L] Hertford County Vital Records
    2. Hi: I wondered if anyone could tell me if a death certificate would be available for a person that died in 1915? Would it show who the parents were? Is it possible to contact the vital records for Hertford County by e-mail? How much do vital records cost? Any help will be really appreciated. Is there a Parker/Saunders/Jones cemetery in Hertford County? Any help will be really appreciated. Thanks, Trudy Swain

    2. Hi Everyone!!! I new to the list. I'm not really sure I know where to begin. I would like to learn as much as I can about Hertford County. Where can I begin? I was overwhelmed when I went to the Archives is Raleigh, NC. I also know that there was fire during the Civil War I believe and many records were burned. My family can be traced to Herftford Cty, around 1830 and before. They later migrated to Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan. However, I do know some of the families remained in NC. If someone would please point me in the righ direction, I would really appreciate it. Thanks so much. Stacee My family names are Weaver, Cotton, Outland, Stafford, and Cottman.

    1. [NCHERTFO-L] MANLEY/MANLY
    2. Dawnna Williams
    3. Hi, I am new to this list, and I am searching for my Manley/Manly ancestors. My 5x great grandfather was Joseph Manley who married Francis "Franky" Nickens. They lived in Wilson County, TN in the early 1800s and were orginally from Hertford or Bertie County, NC. Joseph and Franky Manley had three sons: David b. 1803, William b. 1804 and Levi b. 1805 all born in TN. Thank you. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com

    3. My apologies for sending this message to three lists, but the subject book might be of interest to anyone researching this area of NC. This subject came up on the Bertie list, and this is what I found out. Since these people apparently print to order, it might be more efficient if several folks ordered theirs at the same time. I will be glad to volunteer to make up a list of those who are definitely interested, and forward the info to Higginson Books. They can then contact each of you in turn to confirm the order. Please see the message at the bottom. (standard disclaimer: I am not an agent, nor am I affiliated in any way with Higginson Books.) Take care.
