This book is an index of the 119 boxes of Henderson County Estates in the Archives in Raleigh and conains 121 pages of estates. "Loose" estates are estates that were taken out of the custody of the county for one reason or another. They are not found in county records and have not been microfilmed. The "loose" estates cover the period from 1838-1969.
