Good morning from Durham, NC. One of my brick walls is Angus Edgar Maynor (my grandfather). Sandra in Durham, NC Angus Edgar Maynor was born 6-6-1877 (in Chatham or Moore County, NC) to William Judson and Mary Ann Phillips Maynor. He married Virginia Ella O'Neal in Durham on 6/29/1902. Angus was a barber and he disappeared from Greensboro in 1927. In 1933, his wife was granted an absolute divorce. Prior to his disappearance, the family frequently visited a Stokes family in the Hendersonville area. Also, he may have worked at the Gates City Barber Shop in Greensboro for a couple of weeks in 1941. His daughter, Mary Rebecca, received a telephone call in 1960 from a man who said he was a friend of Angus' and that he had heard that Angus was in a rest home somewhere in or around the Asheville area. However, Rebecca was not able to find out any more information, or to locate Angus. Rebecca was living in Durham, NC at the time.
