I have just gone through the 1850 federal census for Henderson and realized that when they changed the family numbers for each family that they must have inadvertently got some of the pages out of order. They I found Richmond Keykendall on page 247 (image 68 on ancestry.com) with 4 children missing. I found them 3 pages back (image 65 on ancestry.com) at the top of the page and realized by looking at the old family number that this page should have followed p 247 in the census. I have no idea how many other pages in this census are out of order but I would check very carefully if your family starts at the bottom of a page. Make doubly sure that the following page is the one that truly belongs there. This is not an ancestry.com error as this has been the situation on microfilm copies too. I don't know if there are corrected microfilm copies or not. I know many of you probably already realize this but I thought that some newcomers might not realize this possibility with the 1850 census. (Or any census for that matter).
