I am looking for anyone connected to the HARRISON ancestors that lived in Halifax Co., N. C. in 1790. Gideon Harrison b-abt 1762 -70 lived near Clarks Ferry along the Roanoke River and had a wife, not sure of her name. Jesse Harrison b-1756 lived around Kehuchy Swamp and had a wife named Mary Pair (Pare) whose father was Bythel Pair and mother Anny. Elisha Harrison was on the tax list of 1783. He married Winnie Pair sister to Mary and lived around Gum Branch and Harris' Branch. Their children were: Jansey who married a Wooten, Rebecca married a Tucker, Edward Harrison and Mary Harrison. Elisha died between 1797 and 1804. Winnie married a Davis second and lived in Nash County, N. C. Known children of Jesse were: Turner, Jesse, Jr., Mary Polly, Martha Patsy, and Blake Baker Harrison. Know children of Gideon were: Henry, James, Winnie and Nancy. Gideon and Jesse moved to Davidson Co., N. C. about 1818. Gideon was in Gibson Co., TN. in 1830.
