Would like to know when you have completed your book. I too have several ancestral lines from Halifax County including Wood, Summerell, Curry and Whitfield. All go back to the early 1800's , except Whitfield which goes back to the late 1700's. Most likely they were all there in the late 1700's. Finding some of their grave markers may help.
