I can tell you approxamately where Woodson Daniel lived in Wake Co. A Wake Co. court order Sep., 1771 stated," Upper end of Wake Co. needs a road from Munn's store to the Wake Co. courthouse, and from the store to the Orange Co. line at the wagon path that goes to Wortham Glenn's Ford on the Enoe River." Men ordered to build the road included John Alston, Richard Clements, Sam Peek, William Reeves, Thomas Ferrell, Woodson Daniel, George Jordan (my ancestor), James Howell, and Thomas Stand. Also, Woodson Daniel replaced Reuben Allen as constable of the Panther Creek area about the end of 1774. Panther Creek is just southeast of I-85 on southside of Neuse River (Falls Lake) just NE of Durham. The old road to Oxford runs just south of this creek and is now a path through the woods - but there are still ruins of 200 year old log houses there (just south of the Panther Creek bridge on Road 1637).
