Thanks for the reply but my Robert is Robert Young Hudson b 1879 in Surry Co NC but went to Halifax Co in 1886 at age 7 after the death of his mother, Lucy Hudson Coe Reese. It is believed but not proven that his father was Samuel Hudson. His grandfather was Young Hudson b in 1809 in Halifax Co VA. I am trying to find out with whom he lived between 1886 and 1888 when he went into Oxford Orphange and was hoping that school records were available. There may be some ties to Robert Burton Hudson but it has not been proved. Thanks again, Bea
