I even bought the old newspapers microfilms from the NC Archives and studied them. Unless someone has this information in their attic, I am not sure there are any records on the old churches before 1850. There wasn't even an Episcopal Church in the Littleton area until My great-grandmother started one in Littleton. The Episcopal Church as you know kept the best church records. There are some Catholic records of baptisms though. A traveling priest would meet their church members at the Railroad station in Littleton, Roanoke Rapids and Weldon and Baptize their babies right there at the station. Then get back on the train and move on to the next town. Most of the area seemed to be Methodist or Baptist though. I wish I could help you more and let me know if you find any of these records.
