Hi, Vickie-- Although I am not related to the Daniel family I happen to have some information that might be useful. There were two Daniel families in Halifax Co. "William and Patsy Jones Daniel moved from Virginia into Halifax County around the mid-1700s." The other family, not related according to my source, was headed by Ambrose and Sarah Edwards Daniel. "Ambrose was from York County, Va., where he served his county as a soldier in the American Revolution before he immigrated to Halifax County, N. C." If you'd like to give me more particulars about the names and dates I might be able to find a connection. There were several named James and William, but no Edward in my source. The individual who supplied much of the information "is a member of the North Carolina Society of the Cincinnati. He joined through James Daniel, who died circa 1777. Jim Daniel gave permission for his Daniel family research and his Cincinnati membership papers to be used as a reference in the genealog- ical sketch . . ." If you would like to go directly to my source, it is Town Leaders, Littleton, North Carolina, 1790-1920, by Rebecca Leach Dozier, 1996. You can contact her at RLDozier@aol.com.

If possible, I would like a copy of John Bloat's inventory of 1751. My gr gr gr grandfather was John Drew of Halifax N.C. He was born around 1755 and married Pheriby Bell, daughter of Joshua Bell and Ferebee Norfleet. Ferebee was the daughter of Thomas Norfleet and Ruth Blount. I'm looking for any shred of information that would connect John Drew with a set of parents. Any information would be appreciated. Patty Edwards
