    2. Searching for information on James Baxter born abt. 1784 in Orange Co., NC and died aft. 1810 in Halifax Co., NC. He married Nancy Stone July 3, 1804 in Caswell Co., NC. Nancy was born abt. 1786 in NC, and died bef. 1881 in Halifax Co.,NC. They had one child Son Baxter, born abt. 1805 in Caswell Co., NC and died? in Halifax Co.,NC. Son had one child John Baxter b. 1826 in Halifax Co., NC who died bef. 1906. Any assistance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Library there is a list of marriages that have been recorded from old deed records.The 1850 and 1860 Halifax Co. census has been abstracted and published. As for Daniel family information I am going to refer you to Payne Daniel who wrote an excellent book on the Daniel's family. His e-mail address is GPDRAL. You might want to drop him a note and ask him about Daniel's Meeting Place. I hope this will help you some. Book 19, pg 85. 10 Nov. 1802. Thomas Blount and his wife Jackie Sullivan Blount of Edgecombe to John G. L. Schenck, land beginning...Thomas Morriss line...Henry Reads...Bradfords corner...Mathew Raburns...1920 acres, the same land which was devised to Jacky Sullivant Blount by her father Jethro Summer by 3 grants or patents for 640 acres each bearing the date of 9 Oct 1783.
