>From the archives of this list I've just answered my first question, which is the location of Moriah Methodist church (answer: 3611 Liberty Road, Greensboro, aka U.S. 421 south, a couple of miles outside the city limits). My second question concerns John COE, b. about 1779, who died on 13 Sep 1852 and is reportedly buried there. The 1850 Guilford County census gives his occupation as Meth. clergyman. Was he the minister of this church, and does anyone know anything further about him? In particular, I'm looking for a) confirmation of the maiden name and a death date for his wife Hannah McLean or McCain b) identity of Dorcas Coe age 63 in 1850, with whom he is living; also Martha PEARSON age 67, in the same household. Is Dorcas a second wife, or a sister? Who is Martha? c) The 1850 census gives his birthplace as Worcester, followed by what looks to me like "Ma" which I would interpret as Massachusetts. However, the LDS Ancestral file lists his place of birth as "Worcester Co. MD". Can anyone confirm one or the other of these? d) Is he the father of Isaac COE b. ca. 1802, who married Sarah DEANS, and can anyone tell me anything about her?
