    1. [NCGUILFO] Presbyterian Churches in Guilford Co. STARATT/GRAY/WALKER

    3. Jane asked for information on Presbyterian Churches in Guilford County. A couple (John Staratt and wife Anne Gray Staratt) is buried at Haw River Presbyterian Church in Rockingham County with names similar to those she mentioned. John's parents were James STARATT (9/14/1806-8/14/1885) and Jane WALKER (12/14/1803- 8/14/1885). I believe Anne's father was Alexander Grey or Gray. Three Presbyterian churches had connections--Speedwell and Haw River in Rockingham County and Buffalo in Guilford Co (Greensboro). Members in our family intermarried with others in these three congregations. It might be good to check marriage bonds and cemetery records in both Guilford and Rockingham counties. I bet there's a Gray or Staratt out there today who know about Alexander Staratt and Nancy Gray.
