RICHARD MINER was bondsman in 1843 to the marriage of my ABNER PACE (b.1821-23) and JULIA ANN REED (b.1823-25). I think that Richard Miner was either a close friend/relative of either the bride or the groom. It is possible that Richard Miner lived in the vicinity of Guilford that Abner Pace did; Abner had been apprenticed as an orphan at age 16 in 1837 to saddlemakers Hiatt & Jean (probably William Jean). I think that wherever the Miner family was in 1840 Guilford, that is also in the neighborhood of where Abner Pace was living, probably in the household of either Hiatt or Jean. I would be interested in contacting researchers of Richard Miner of Guilford, NC.
