Check with the discussion list on this. My Armstrong line is from Co. Tyrone, Ireland near Camus, and had nothing to do with Guilford County. The name Clearwater is not familiar to me, but one wonders if it was an Indian name. I have been primarily interested in southern Guilford County and Northern Randolph county, NC and have never seen Armstrong nor Clearwater in either place. The records are pretty decent - check with the List.
