I would be interested in contacting researchers of the following families in Guilford. PACE, EDITH married THOMAS GARDNER 7 Aug 1849 in Guilford; witness Jonathan Gardner. PACE, EDNEY married THOMAS OZMENT JR 18 Oct 1841 in Guilford; witness John C. Kenedy. PACE, LIVELEY married WILLIAM N. LITHCOE 17 May 1850 in Guilford; witness Jackson Lithcoe. My gggrandfather was ABNER PACE (1821-1900Rowan) was apprenticed in 1837 in Guilford; he was declared an orphan in some sense. In 1843 in married JULIA ANN REED in Guilford and moved to Rowan. The above female Paces were also apprenticed as orphans in Guilford when they were of age to be apprenticed. The male Paces apparently left Guilford after serving their apprentice bonds, but the Pace females married and perhaps stayed in Guilford. The female names were LIVELEY PACE(b.abt 1831, app'd 1839 to James THOM) and EDY PACE(b.abt1828, app'd 1841 to David SULLIVAN). EDY PACE could have been either of the top entries above. I would be happy to share information. Betty Pace - Norfolk, VA ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
