If anyone has family buried in the Proximity Mill Cemetery owned by Cone Mills in Guilford County, NC don't waste your time calling Cone Mills to find out exactly where he/she is buried. They didn't keep records. I talked with a very nice gentleman and he said that when they started the cemetery no one kept records of who was buried or where. He suggests to check with the funeral home to see if they have it in their records. I walked it about 6 months ago and it was sad to see broken stones, missing markers and just plain neglect. Just incase anyone was looking at this same cemetery. Windy
