    3. I received the following message that needed to be resent in order to go to the list. It is from "Carla and Ken Burres <ckburres@mcmsys.com>" My g-g-g-g-grandparents were Gottlieb Hammer, born abt. 1775-1778 in Unter Turckheim, near Stuttgart, Germany., and his wife, Agnes Jetter. His son was Jacob Hammer, b. May 26, 1798 in Unter Turckheim, Germany. Arrived in the U.S. --date unk.--. married Priscilla Eyler in Graceham, Frederick Co., Md. on Aug. 19, 1819. Their children were John Gottlieb Hammer b.1820 ( my g- grandfather), Caty Anna b. 1822, Christian Samuel, b. 1824, Maria b. 1825, Salome Angelica, b. 1828, Jacob Jeremiah, b. 1830, and Elizabeth margaret, b. 1835. I don't have any idea if Gottlieb or Agnes Hammer ever left Germany, and I'm unsure of the names of any of their children, other than Jacob. I've been told his siblings were George hammer, I.G. Hammer, and Mary L. Hammer, but have no proof of that. I also don't know where Jacob is buried. His wife Priscilla died and is buried in Washington Co., Md. My g-grandfather John, and his brother, Christian Samuel, moved to Tazewell Co., Ill the early 1840's. Let me know, if you think that your Frederika fits into this family somewhere. (by the way, do you know what her religious affiliation was? Jacob and his family were members of the Moravian church, and there are really good records on them, through the church ). Sherron Logan
