I am reaching my Family History. I am interested in finding other family members with the last of Matier. The spelling varies: McTier, McTeer, MacTier. As far as I can tell they originated in the Reidsville, Brownsummitt area in North Carolina. The names I have date back to the early 1800's. They are Patsy & Lindsay Matier, Richard Matier, Louis Matier, Richard McTier, Georgianna McTier, Thomas Matier.
