Is this > the right Clapp family? Let me know if you need more information, Mary > Vaughn. You certainly have the right CLAPP family. George Valentine and his brother Johan Ludwig founded the Church that is now known as Brick Church - one of the more famous historical churches in Guilford County. There is a mailing list for just that particular church and it's people. See the website at http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~lrnoah/BrickCH/index.htm . Many of the early German speaking people of that area were associated with Brick Church. As far as I know, there is no actual record available for George Valentine's birth. The 24 May 1702 date comes from Brick Church records. There are a number of recording of George Valentine in the KB (Church Book) of Weisenheim am Berg and also PA Church records. There are many descendants of George Valentine and his brother still today in Guilford County.
