CLAYTON, born Sept,1893,son of Robert R. CLAYTON and Mary Ann YOUNG, in Buncombe Co. He married Daisy LANE, and lived in High Point, GUILFORD CO. Their children were: Mary Ruth, who married a BEESON; Cornelia, who married Joe MONTGOMERY; and Vernon Clayton. Thomas's sister Cora Mae CLAYTON, married George W. CROOK they moved from Buncombe Co to South Hill, Virginia. They are my grandparents.This is all the info. I have on family, since records were destroyed in fire. I will be adding our family information to the CLAYTON CLIQUE that will published by Virginia Green, who has done extensive research on the CLAYTON FAMILY. I will also have available to all family members the family information from James Franklin Clayton and his descendents. Any information and pictures of our family, if possible, will be helpful. I have no pictures of my gr.grandparents so it will be interesting to see what they looked like. And if you have pictures of James & Catherine Clayton, Robert's parents I'd love to make a copy.
