Quakers in NC - HInshaw records: Volume I The first Quaker settlement at New Garden was about 1750. >From 1751 until 1754, Monthly Meeting's circulated between Cane Creek and New Garden. New Garden Monthly Meeting was set up in 1754, by direction of Perquiman's and Little River Quarterly Meeting. New Garden became the predominant MM for Guilford Co., NC. There are many, many STARBUCK's attending New Garden MM's, along with other NC - MM's. One Charles PIDGEON & wife Sarah of Guilford Co., found attending Center MM & Deep River MM. Several references to Charles PIDGEON, wife Sarah & children. I find no reference to a Sarah COLLINS attending MM's in NC. Possibly Sarah PIDGEON's maiden name COLLINS????
