I am particularly interested in the Scott info. Thomas Scott signed Margaret's marriage bond in Kentucky but am not sure if he is a brother or her father. The Vanderslice family is definitely from Pennsylvania but do not know Benjamin's father. Sidner Smith (most records in Alabama cofirm that it is Sidner not Sydney) was born in Ky. There were Seidners there one of whom married a Schott. It is possible that Margaret's family name was originally Schott and later changed to Scott but no evidence of this. Also in Alabama at the time of the Jessup and Vanderslice were Bowater Jackson who was definitely of Quaker origin. Also there was a large contingent of Beesons who were of Quaker origin.
