I am continuing my search for the parents of my ancestor, John McFarland, of Guilford County, North Carolina. The only information I have is from the 1850 Guilford County census which indicates that he was born about 1799-1800 in Guilford County. Recently I obtained the 1820 Guilford County census and the only McFarland listed is Larkin McFarland. The ages of the males in the household does not correspond to John's age at the time but I am wondering if he could have moved out of the county and then back. Does anyone have any information on Larkin McFarland that might prove or disprove his kinship with my John McFarland. Many thanks. Conni in Ohio
