According to my records Miranda Jane Nelson was born in Guilford County, NC, in 1859 to parents Joseph Nelson and Hariett (nee Brookbank). Could Joseph Nelson and Hariett Brookbank be brother and sister to John Nelson and Rachel Brookbank? Miranda Jane was one of four children and attended Oak Ridge Public School while living on her father's farm. She married Robert Dwiggins, charter member of the Pine Grove Methodist Church, in 1877 and bore him ten children. The Dwiggins Family still has a big reunion every September in NC. My mother is still in touch with her cousins and is going to search for more info.
