Dear Guilford County subscribers: Thought I would pass this along to everyone who is researching family in Randolph County, NC. Randolph Community College (both Asheboro and Archdale campuses) and also Davidson Community College (Lexington, NC) are offering continuing education classes in genealogy. They begin the first week in September. Please check their catalogs for more details - time, dates and cost. These classes are for all persons, young and old, who want to start entering their data or do Internet searching for additional family members. Classes this summer and last year have been very successful. I hope you will take the opportunity to inquire further. Emphasis during class is centered around file management - in other words, how to properly save your important information and how to share (GedCom's) your files.
