NC Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/NC/Guilford/1566 Surname: SHEPHERD ------------------------- Seeking any information whatsoever on Bird Shepherd, who was b. c1795 in Mecklenburg Co., Va.; m. 1815 in Person Co., NC, to Mayvel STEWART; left Person circa 1843, spent a few years in lower Caswell, and finally resettled in northwestern Guilford, in what would become Oak Ridge Twp. Bird died there testate in late 1872, but his will mentions only his daughter Mary ("Polly") and her son Aaron, who were to get his small farm after his death. No sign of the family in Guilford in 1880 or ff. What became of them?
