Airy passed away April 3, 2008 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Ammons was born in Guilford county March 22, 1938 to the late Paul and Grace Davis Ammons. Mr. Ammons was a graduate of Guilford College and a member of St Andrew Lutheran Church. He was a member and Past Master of Granite Lodge 322. He is survived by his wife, Connie Ammons of the home; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Ferrell Smithey of Frost, TX and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephew and cousins. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 PM, Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy by Rev. Dale Cline. The family will accept friends from 2:00 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Building Fund, 1403 Fancy Gap Rd, Mt.
