    1. [NCGUILFO] JACOB LEONARD AND REBECCA ?
    2. Mary Stephenson
    3. I have been advised to send requests to all the above sites in search for my 2nd great grandfather JACOB LEONARD and his wife REBECCA ?(Unknown). He recieved 200 acres of bounty land in RANDOLPH COUNTY N.C. in 1799, so we know he served in the REVOLUTION. We have a family tale that tells us that he defected from the HESSIANS. I just found out today that there were BRITISH SOLDIERS in the HESSIAN REGIMENTS, and am now looking for him to be from ENGLAND ,rather than GERMANY, where I have been looking. He raised a family in RANDOLPH COUNTY and with evidence from the public library there in RANDOLPH COUNTY, he passed away between 1830 and 1840. He is in the 1830 census, but only REBECCA is in the 1840. She must have passed away within the next census year as she is not listed any more. JACOB donated the land to build the CHRISTIAN CHURCH AT PLEASANT GROVE, but no one can tell me whether he is buried there, or any positive dates for his nor REBECCA'S death. His known chi! ldren are HENRY, b. 1789, married PATSEY RAINS 1810..... SALATHIEL b. 1799, married ELIZABETH LAMB 1815 .... JOSEPH, B. 1795, married NANCY ?..... MAHALA b. 1800, married ? WILSON in MOORE COUNTY..... NANCY, b. 1802. (never married?) , , Any information about these folks is RELEVANT! They are not to be confused with the "VALENTINE LEONARDS" IN DAVIDSON COUNTY. Mary Leonard Stephenson
