My family also made the same trek.....the Macys originally from Nantucket. Does anyone have verifiable information concerning the reason for this migration? My Macys settled in Randolph Co IN which cannot be coincidental, having come from the area of Randolph Co NC. They were in NC only about one generation before moving on to IN.
