I am new to genealogy and to this list. After lurking for awhile, I still haven't seen my surnames, so I'm posting this request for information. Recently I have begun researching my paternal line, BURNETT/BURNETTE and my maternal line, HEADRICK/HEDRICK. The Greensboro and High Point libraries haven't been much help so far. I have found some information on the Internet for the Burnettes, but little on the Hedricks. My recent Burnette connections are in Haywood Co., NC, but I haven't made a connection to the Guilford County Burnettes yet. I have had even less luck with the Hedricks. Family stories indicate that my maternal grandfather's Hedricks were in Guilford and Davidson Counties, but I can't get back beyond my great great grandfather.
