It flows northwest, very near to where Stokes, Rockingham, Forsyth and Guilford Counties come together. Another branch begins a little south of there, and flows west into Forsyth County Troublesome Creek begins about the same location as Belews Creek, but flows east and and slightly north and moves into Rockingham County.
