I have an ancestor named John Moore, born ca. 1800, who was in Sevier County, TN by 1830. I am wondering if he could be connected to the family that you describe below. The 1850 census indicates that both he and his wife, Martha, were born in SC, but I am wondering if that could be inaccurate. John died before 1860, as best I can determine.
