Good Evening Everyone, It's been quite a while since I've posted this request. Am in hopes that someone has some information that can help me on the following people. My ancestors, John PAVEY (b: prob. ca: 1754, d: 1814, IN) married 1) (we believe) Mary ANDERSON (b: ca. 1756, DE, dau. of James & Elizabeth ANDERSON, Nicolites.) They were found on the 1790 Caroline Co, MD census and probably migrated along with the last of the Nicolites to do so by ca: 1800 to the Jamestown @ Deep River area in Guilford Co.. Mary must have died, for John md. 2) Frances "Fanny" MARTIN in Guilford Co, on Jan. 21, 1801. Frances Martin Pavey was b: Oct. 19, 1758 and was the dau. of James & Mary MARTIN. James' will was prob. Feb., 1796 (Guilford.) The following are his children: John, b: abt. 1756; Frances; James, b: abt. 1760; Hannah, b: Feb. 27, 1763 (md: ? Sillivan/Sullivan); Henry, b: Sept. 4, 1765 and Mary, b: Oct. 25, 1768, md: Wm. BEESON (son of Isaac & Phebe BEESON) on Dec. 24, 1791, Guilford Co. The MARTINs were Quakers, and recrq. at New Garden, Guilford Co. on Jan. 4, 1779. Would like to find out where they had come from. I believe there's a chance that they came from PA. Most of the children were dismous. from the Quakers (Fanny for marrying John PAVEY ... Hinshaw has his name as PARAY.) John PAVEY was appointed Adm. to the Estate of Major ANDERSON in Guilford in 1803. There were 2 Major Anderson families on the 1800 Guilford Co. census. Does anyone know which Major this may have been that died after the census? (Mary Anderson Pavey had a brother named Major.) On both the 1800 and 1810 census there was a Levin WILLIAMS listed. We believe that this may have been the husband of Mary "Polly" PAVEY (John's sister.) Does anyone have any information on a Levin Williams' family? Thank you.
