His parents were Daniel MCPHAUL (b. 4-MAY-1885 in Laurel Hill Twp, Richmond, NC, d. 10-SEP-1961 in Lauringburg, Scotland, North Carolina), and Hattie LIVINGSTON (b. 1884 in Laural Hill, Richmond, North Carolina, d. 21-SEP-1924 in Spring Hill, Scotland, North Carolina).
