She was born in Brown Summit, North Carolina to the late George and Beatrice Gover Murphy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dudley was preceded in death by her husband, Benford M. Dudley; one grandson, Michael R. Trent, one sister, Margaret M. Manuel; and one son-in-law, Bobby Hayes. Mrs. Dudley is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Beatrice T. Hayes of Rock Hill, South Carolina and Bonnie T. and Howard Ingle of Gibsonville, North Carolina; one son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Maggie Trent of Eden, North Carolina; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Services for Mrs. Dudley will be private and held at a later date. Moody Funeral Home in Stuart is in charge of the arrangements.
