No, as far as I can tell there are no Parish/Parrish or Reed names in the deeds. There are a few names I had trouble transcribing.....but they don't appear to be the ones you seek. I've sent the deeds to be posted on the Guilford Co., NC archives under the USGenWeb, so they should be up there soon and then everyone can see them. You can submit them to the Archives for the Guilford County NCGenWeb. While I have a few deeds on the county website's pages, I am in the process of shifting all of those over to the Archives, since there are some that were submitted directly there, and this puts everything in the same place for the convenience of everyone. I have the e-mail address for the person who handles the Archives, but I won't post it here to avoid exposing him to spam. You can go to this page: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/nc/guilford.htm and follow the links at the bottom. Also, as another option, I can forward the deeds to the person who handles the Archives, if you will send them to me at my e-mail address, which is shown by a link near the bottom of this page: Katherine Dick Benbow County Coordinator, Guilford County NCGenWeb http://www.rootsweb.com/~ncguilfo/index.html USGenWeb is a project supported and hosted by Rootsweb, so all of this remains within the Rootsweb network. I hope to find a way to post the deeds...I guess I could just attach them here as files. Do you think that would work? The deeds have lots of names of landowners and witnesses and so on in the area. The deed dates are 1782, 1793, 1797 and 1812. They could be valuable to others for a lot of reasons. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. He was a loving and devoted husband and father who will be fondly remembered as a kind, easy going, encouraging, and supportive man.
