Found this in the Elijah Johnson DAR folder Elijah son of Isiah and Mary Johnson - born in Dobbs Co 13 April 1754 d 4 Feb 1836 - md Elizabeth Harper daughter of Alexander and Margaret Harper - b 13 Nov 1757 d 23 Aug 1834. Elijah had a Will in SUmter District, SC written 1 Oct 1836. Dates have to come from a Bible but it was not in the folder. children - Daniel, Isiah Jr., Elijah, Margaret md a Rinder, Harper, Gatsy, Betsy md a Hourhand and Blaney - only one I saw with dates - b 30 Nov 1802 - kind of pushed his mother's childbearing years. THis almost has to be the Alexander Harper mentioned as the brother in law of John Kilpatrick which means that Margaret was probably John's sister and thus the daughter of Alexander and Elizabeth Easley Kilpatrick. And Blaney and Francis were siblings of Elizabeth Harper Johnson. Somewhere in my many jumbled notes on the Harper family I sort of remember a Margaret Harper. Francis, my off the wall theory that the entire line is off a generation and Alexander was the SON of Francis who first moved to NC might not be so off the wall.
