    3. UFT is not going to do you any good since it is not being supported. If The Master Genealogist can be used on a mac, that might be the way to go. It is a complicated program but you really don't need to learn how to use much of it. I assume that FTM saves to a disk in a sqz file. Any GEDCOM loses information even going between two identical programs. TMG is able to import a sqz file from any softwear and loses nothing. Then it can be uploaded to the web. Only problem is the sqz file is the entire database and you probably don't want someone's entire database. I guess you can upload what you want and delete the database but I sure don't know how to do that. In other words, I could save my database to a zip disk, it would go right on your TMG, and then you could upload what we want posted. You could do the same with PAF, FTM and any softwear and no one has to know how to do a GEDCOM and nothing would be lost. Everyone backs up their database. Might be worth looking into. Martha I have an iMac and most of you >don't. That means our genealogy software programs are not compatible. We can >only exchange information in text or gedcom.
