It crossed my mind today that our ancestors were more prepared on the Home Front than we are today with the Militia. As I understand it, every able bodied man between the ages of 16 and 45 or so were required to be in the Militia in the 1750's to protect our land. History does repeat itself. On the top of the US Archives Bldg is "The Past is Prologue". Maybe it is time for that part of history to repeat although I can't quite see my 22 year old, 5'4" 100 pound daughter shooting a M 16 rifle. Martha
