I am researching the Suggs, Dixon and Murphy lines from Greene County. I have limited information. Thought this line would be a little easier than the other line, but I am further back on the Smith line than Suggs, Dixon and Murphy. I know limited information. My grandfather, James (Jim) Suggs was born in 1901 in Ayden (sp?), NC. He died in 1965 in Baltimore, MD. He married Nora Murphy, born February 1902. James's father was Sam Suggs. James was one of 23 children. Nora's father was Charlie Murphy. Her mother was Cherry Dixon. Nora was one of 16 children. She had a twin (Cora) who died in a hunting accident as a teenager. Rhonda E.
