This is my first posting to this list. Almost all my ancestors were from Greene County. James Baker born abt. 1804 Married Priscilla/Prissy abt. 1827 and had 1. Elizabeth abt. 1827 married Allen Grizzard from Greene County who died during the CW. 2. James Hines Baker abt. 1830 married Josiann Hobbs from Greene County, perhaps daughter of William Hobbs and Mary. Mary died abt. 1864 and is buried in the Brann Cemetery in Greene County. James Hines Baker, called Hines, and Josey Ann/Josiann Hobbs had 1. May Baker who died in her 20s and never married 2. William Baker who married Mary Lula Tyson from Greene County. Her mother was Frances Tyson, not sure about father. 3. Cordelia abt. 1832- never married Can anyone help me fill in the blanks above? 1.What was Mary Hobbs’ maiden name? 2. Who was Mary Lula Tyson b. 1866’s father? 3. Does anyone know of cemetery lists from Greene County that I might get copies of and look over or do any of you have cemetery lists? I’ve looked at what is online. 4. Does anyone know Priscilla Baker’s maiden name? James and Priscilla lived fairly long lives and raised their grandchildren after the parents died. They are still alive in the 1870 Greene County census. James Baker was a cooper and a farmer.
