He had a Will in Dobbs Co in 1772 with sons John, William and Benjamin and a daughter Hilliary - wife not named. John's children can be tracked through the two Greene Co Books Bill published. John had Rachel, Willie, Sally who married William Lacy, Martha who married William Turnage and William (I think). Does anyone know anything about the sons William and Benjamin? There was a Sarah Bryant who inherited land he father Solomon Brand owned on Sandy Run Lawrence Bryant in Greene may have been the son of Elizabeth Simpson and Lawrence Bryan/O'Bryan but I am not sure. I know he had a son William R. There was a Robert in the Bullhead road, Big Contentnea with neighbors Lane, Speight, Minshaw - he may also have been called Robin. Robin was guardian to the children of Cullen Edwards in 1839 THere was a Silas on Sellars Branch who may have married daughter of Thomas Person in 1839. Laurence Bryant settled the account of Person. THere was a Joel Bryant on Tyson's Marsh - neighbors Drewry Aldridge and land James G. SHeppard sold to William (which William). One Joel was dec by 1843 - he may have been the grandfather of the children of Jeremiah Fields by Elizabeth Bryan. Robert may have been an heir. Blake Bryan owed the estate money. Blake moved to Lenoir Co by 1840 and was dec by 1844. Does anyone know the relationship of all these Bryan/Bryants prior to 1850? I am especially interested in Joel and Blake - Blake was my direct ancestor. Said to have married Hannah Holland. I can't find a likely father for Hannah in Greene Co. Thanks. Martha
