Bill Murphy wrote in Article #116, The Heritage of Craven County, North Carolina, Volume I, 1984, ³Lewis James Johnson (1826-1911) moved to Greene County (NC) and married Sarah Adelaide (1842-1916), daughter of Abner Rouse and Harriett Parks.² € James Johnson is listed as age 35 in the 1850 Census of Pitt Co., NC in the same household as his mother, Catherine (Cannon) Johnson. Lemuel G. - age 6, MW, in sch. (*Joseph is not listed here, perhaps this was an omission by the person who compiled this book.)
