    1. [NCGREENE] [NCLENOIR] Lenoir County Historical Books
    2. Martha Marble
    3. About the full name index. Now I know it is the Holiday Season but we really need some more help with the typing of the index - before or after the Holidays. We are saving a lot of time by doing the multiple surnames with one surname at the top and just the first names below which saves a lot of time and key strokes. I just finished the B's and it did not take all that long and typing, as most of you know, is not my forte. The object of doing the index is to try and move these books, especially the Heritage Book. The Historical Association will not consider doing Vol 2 until the reprint of Vol 1 is sold. Many of us would like to see Vol 2 done with members of these lists doing most of the write ups for families of Dobbs, Lenoir and Greene and that includes early Craven and Jones. The proceeds will go to painting Harmony Hall. Remember, tis the season for GIVING - a couple of hours of your time if you already have a copy of the book. You need to contact Tracy. Thank you. Some more often than others but numerous times a week I get a message with multiple bounces from msn - gets to be a bit much after awhile. Also the newest worm detected today appears to be hitting you people hard and people with ICQ. PLEASE, be careful in opening attachments. I have not recovered from all the worm infected attachments of the past couple of weeks. At least McAfee seems to be aware of this one. Martha

    3. Christine, I have a little on their son, according to Ima, Jesse Heath Barrow, but nothing on the girls. Rachel must have been something else. Under Lenoir Archives, Letters, Sutton Civil War Letter is a letter from Alexander Sutton to his sister, Winnie, in which he mentions his step sister, Rachel. Towards the end. Get the feeling that Benjamin Sutton's children were not exactly fond of their stepmother or her children.
