Hi Diane and everyone, You and me were in the same boat last night. I was up until 5 am also trying to get rid of it until I saw the fix from norton and understood how it works. I found the patch to close the port which is available from microsoft to close the port. My system started shutting itself down also. Before it shutsdown it would give you a warning message Of unauthorized NT authority caused by Remote procedure Call RPC service terminated unexpectly. Be sure to keep your patches up to date. I updated mine from microsoft after that was I finally able to delete the msblast.exe files that where placed in my system files. I had not downloaded or opened any email attachments. I thought my children were shutting down the computer until I saw the error message. Tina
